It all started with the OAV series and its manga. The TV series was spun off as an alternate storyline. The TV series manga was published in Gekkan Shonen Captain. The American comic(never released) and the japanese radio dramas start off where the OAV series ended. The OAV 2 series also starts off where the OAV series ends and is loosely based on the radio dramas. Ijigen no Sekai El-Hazard (El-Hazard the Alternative World) is the 2nd TV series. It falls after the 2nd OAV.
